ESI Waterproofing and Masonry Restoration was contacted to develop a plan to prevent further water penetration through the masonry envelope on this four story residential condominium complex. Testing and visual observations concluded that the through-wall flashing over the windows had failed. ESI removed three courses of brick over each window, removed the existing steel lintel, replaced the failed flashing, re-installed the steel lintel, and replaced the brick with new brick to match the existing masonry.
