Project Information

ESI was contracted to work on the beautiful Presbyterian church in Roxbury, MA. The scope of work included: cutting and pointing all stone masonry mortar joints. The new mortar was tooled to create a raised, half-round joint profile, also known as a “grapevine” joint. ESI pressure injected cracked stones throughout the facade. The stone stairways and handrails were removed and reset to properly shed water. Each elevation was cleaned with a mild detergent to remove all atmospheric dirt.

Historic stone church with a tall spire and arched entrance, set against a cloudy sky. Nearby are parked vehicles and adjacent brick buildings.
