The restoration work included removal of the cracked mortar wash at the chimney crown and installation of a new mortar wash to restore proper slope and surface protection. A new multi-flue chimney cap was purchased and installed to provide long-term protection against water intrusion and debris.
Additionally, displaced seam tape around the chimney was removed and replaced with new, properly adhered seam tape to ensure a secure, watertight seal.
